Neal Gussis joined Beacon Realty Capital in 2000 and became one of its principals in 2003. Mr. Gussis leads Beacon's efforts in managing self-storage financing transactions for clients nationwide. In addition to self storage, he also works on securing debt on all types of commercial financing transactions. Neal participates on the Executive Board for Beacon Realty Capital.
Mr. Gussis has more than 17 years of various real estate experience and has focused his career on mortgage lending and origination since 1993, Mr. Gussis also has experience in corporate management, asset management, asset valuation, mortgage- backed securities bond distribution and public accounting.
Mr. Gussis began his career in 1986 as a public accountant at Altschuler, Melvoin and Glasser, where his primary audit assignments focused on real estate and construction clients. While being in senior management in the firm's financial services group, Mr. Gussis provided contracting services for the Resolution Trust Corporation (RTC) on various assignments from 1989 through 1993 with the largest being overseeing the operations for an asset management contract of $1.2 Billion non-performing commercial loan portfolio.
In 1993, he became a founder and principal of First Security Commercial Mortgage, a Chicago-based financial services and lending company where he was consistently the organization's top producer. He directed First Security's self-storage lending program and managed several regional commercial loan production offices.
Mr. Gussis is a graduate of Indiana University, where he received a B.A. in Accounting. He is also a Certified Public Accountant.
